Earn an NAR Designation or Certification - International Edition

NAR designations and certifications acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors. The National Association of REALTORS® provide a wide-range of programs and services that help members increase their skills, proficiency, and knowledge.

Earn an NAR Designation or Certification in 4 Easy Steps.

SET ONE – MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT

You are a member in good standing with an association outside of the U.S. (“Cooperating Association”) which is a party to a Bilateral Cooperation Agreement with the National Association of REALTORS (NAR).

STEP TWO – COURSEWORK

May be completed online or in the classroom. Listed below are the requirements for each Designation and Certification:

DESIGNATIONS

Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR)
 - Complete the Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation 2-day course

Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS)
 - Complete the CIPS Institute 5-day progam

NAR’s Green Designation
 - Complete the NAR’s Green Designation 2-day course

Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES)
 - Complete the Senior Real Estate Specialist Designation 2-day course

CERTIFICATIONS

E-Pro
 - Complete the NAR’s e-Pro Certification 2-day course

Military Relocation Professional (MRP)
 - Complete the Military Relocation Professional Certification 1-day course

Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA)
 - Complete the Pricing Strategies: Mastering the CMA 1-day course

Resort & Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS)
 - Complete the Resort & Second Home Property Specialist Certification 2-day course

STEP THREE – COMPLETE THE APPLICATION

After you’ve completed the coursework, you are eligible to apply for the Designation and Certification. Please note that it can take up to 10 business days for our records to be updated with your course information. Once your coursework is in our database, you will receive a “Next Steps” email with the link to submit your one-time application fee. Listed below are the fees for each Designation and Certification.

DESIGNATIONS

Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) – USD $185.00

Certified International Property Specialist - USD $300

NAR’s Green Designation – USD $170.00

Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) – USD $180.00

CERTIFICATIONS

E-Pro – USD $149.00

Military Relocation Professional (MRP) – USD $195.00

Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) – USD $179.00

Resort & Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) – USD $194.50

STEP FOUR – MAINTAINING YOUR DESIGNATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Once you’ve earned your NAR Designation or Certification, you will also be an International REALTOR Member of NAR for the balance of hat calendar year. For more information on your International REALTOR Memberships benefits, please visit: https://www.nar.realtor/global/international-realtor-membership

Maintaining your NAR International REALTOR Membership with one yearly fee of $75 will keep all of your NAR Designations and Certifications active. Please note that if your International REALTOR Membership goes inactive, so will your NAR Designations and Certifications.
