The white Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who pressed his knee into George Floyd's neck as he begged for air was arrested Friday and charged with murder. Since the incident, crowds broke overnight curfews imposed to try to stem violent protests over police killings of African Americans that have spread to cities across the U.S.

The civil unrest in Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area has left a trail of burned out buildings, smashed windows, and looted stores across the Twin Cities.
