Lockdown will begin immediately in Pattaya and Bang Lamung District.

Chon Buri governor Pakarathorn Thianchai announced the lockdown and curfew of the Bang Lamung District. The lockdown will also effects the districts main tourist destination of Pattaya.

The lockdown takes affect immediately. The governor signed the order, as 22 new Covid-19 infections have been registered in Chon Buri.

The order signed includes the following measures:

  • Facemasks are to be worn at al times.
  • All shopping malls, department stores, restaurants, and supermarkets should remain closed.
  • Convenience stores are allowed to open, but must closed by 10:00pm. 
  • All educational institutes, public and private, are ordered to close.
  • Public venues, including amusement parks, swimming pools, water parks, movie theaters, and other entertainment venue remain closed.
  • Spas, massage parlors, fitness centers, barbers, beauty shops and Internet shops need to comply.

District police have been notified for enforce the order. Violators are liable to penalties under the Communicable Disease Act of 2015 and other related laws.
