With Thailand’s tourism market at an all-time low, the latest news from the United State serves another hard blow to Thailand. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns against traveling to Thailand.

On August 9, 2021, Thailand was added to the Level 4: COVID-19 Very High list of countries. CDC is recommending that all travelers avoid traveling to these destinations. If you must travel to these destinations, make sure you are fully vaccinated before travel.

Covid-19 has become uncontrollable in Thailand, with the daily infection rate at a record high.

Thailand was hopeful of welcoming travelers starting in October. The US is a big tourism market for Thailand. With the latest CDC announcement, a third quarter rebound seems all but doomed.
