For all of us, passing the real estate licensing exam is a major accomplishment and one that should be commended. All the hours of studying have finally paid off and you can official start working as a licensed real estate agent.

You can now join a real estate company, order your business cards, and start selling.

One of the very first steps in becoming a successful real estate company is get your name out. Real estate is a marketing and service industry. You need to let people know that you’re in the business of selling real estate.

As someone new to the real estate industry, you lack the credibility and experience. The best way to break the barriers is to ask your family and friends to help. Ask them to send you a referral to help you get start.

To make an official, send a formal announcement letter. Here are some ideas to kick off your career:

Design your announcement letter to show how you can provide value to the customer. What is your value proposition?

Share your passion.  Why did you become a licensed real estate agent? Let them know who you are.

If you work in a team, announce your team. Or share something about the office.

Follow up on your letter. Ask if they received it. And ask if they know anyone that is looking to buy or sell.

Most importantly, track your engagement with a good CRM (Customer Relationship Management). It’s important o keep good records of you clients.

The highest return on your investment is to target people that already know, like and trust you, as these individuals are most likely to promote you and your services.
