BMA announces that 21 Bangkok districts have Covid-19 cases

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) have confirmed that 21 districts in the country’s capital have Covid-19 cases due to the recent outbreak from Samut Sakhon.

BMA spokesman Pongsakorn Kwanmuang said the 21 districts are:

  • Bang Kapi
  • Bang Khae
  • Bang Kho Laem
  • Bang Khun Thian
  • Bang Phlat
  • Bang Sue
  • Bangkok Noi
  • Bon Bon
  • Don Mueang
  • Dusit
  • Khlong Sam Wa
  • Lat Phrao
  • Nong Khaem
  • Pathum Wan
  • Prawet
  • Sathorn
  • Suan Luang
  • Taling Chan
  • Thonburi
  • Thung Khru
  • Wattana

A lockdown order has not been summons. All restaurants and bars are allowed remain open (with restrictions), but must close by midnight. Covid-19 control zones have been setup to help prioritize the spreading of the coronavirus.

Thailand ranks 136 in the global list of most coronavirus cases.
