Twenty-eight provinces across Thailand have been designated as Maximum Control Zone

In the wake of the recent Covid-19 outbreak, twenty-eight provinces across Thailand have been designated as “MAXIMUM CONTROL ZONE.” 

Maximum Control Zone (Red) is deemed to be high-risk zones due to the high infection rate of the coronavirus. The government has maximum authority to act on the best interest of the general public. 

The Thai government has assigned the following provinces as Maximum Control Zone:

  • Bangkok Province
  • Angthong Province
  • Chachoengsao Province
  • Chanthaburi Province
  • Chon Buri Province
  • Chum Phon Province
  • Kanchanaburi Province
  • Lopburi Province
  • Nakhon Nayok Province
  • Nakhon Pathom Province
  • Nonthaburi Province
  • Pathum Thani Province
  • Phetchaburi Province
  • Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province
  • Prachinburi Province
  • Prachuap Khiri Khan Province
  • Rachaburi Province
  • Ranong Province
  • Rayong Province
  • Samut Prakan Province
  • Samut Sakhon Province
  • Samut Songkhram Province
  • Saraburi Province
  • Singburi Province
  • Sra Kaeo Province
  • Suphanburi Province
  • Tak Province
  • Trat Province

Covid-19 has already penetrated 53 provinces of Thailand. The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has implemented color zones to determine priorities for controlling the spread of the coronavirus.
